OWLA POLICY BRIEF

I chose my policy brief of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy because I feel that this paper best reflects my writing and analysis skills. I felt comfortable with the material I was writing about and like I was able to do the best job possible. I felt extremely confident on this paper, and feel as though my opinion comes across clearly in my writing.

BEST SELF STORIES

I chose my CPPL reflection of my best self stories because not only was my writing well done here, I also feel as though I connected better with the content I was writing. This reflection really shows who I am and what has made me proud in life, and that is something important to include in a site about me and my academic accomplishments. I feel as though these were times that I was truly at my best, and they deserve to be shared.

REFLECTED BEST SELF LEADERSHIP PLAN

I chose this piece because I feel it best explains me as a leader and how I will continue to grow as a leader. I am an emotional person, and proud to be one. I am a firm believer that emotions and vulnerability do not make someone a bad leader, they make them a better leader. This piece talks about how I am able to be a better leader because of my emotions and my connection to others.

SEMESTER ONE REFLECTION: EXPECTATION VS. REALITY

This piece is a reflection of my first semester here at the University of Maryland. I was prompted with questions, many specific about what my expectations were coming into this semester versus what my reality has been. Even though this was written for my colloquium class, CPPL100, many of the questions are more general or involve other specific courses that I took. This paper is a great look back at the amazing semester that I have had.
